English:Lapaotomy-Hysterectomy surgery for Ovarian Cancer, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a specialist in gynecologic cancer, Dr. Cirisano completed subspecialty training in radical surgery for cervical, ovarian and uterine cancer with subspecialty interest in cancer genetics, and advanced robotic laproscopic surgery. He currently sees patients at hospitals located in Miami/Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties with Offices in Aventura, and Delray Beach, Florida. Following his medical school training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Cirisano completed his Obstetrics & Gynecology residency training at UCLA Medical Center in California. With Grant support, Dr. Cirisano pursued a post-doctoral thesis on ovarian cancer genetics, followed by a funded clinical rotation at Memorial Sloane-Kettering Cancer Center. He then went on to Duke University Medical Center where he completed his fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology and maintained a position as a Junior Faculty Associate. While at Duke University, Dr. Cirisano was involved in the development of an ovarian cancer genetic screening program which offered the initial BRCA1 and BRCA2 screening test.
